Concertmaster David Kim and members of the Orchestra, violist Che-Hung Chen, assistant principal cello Yumi Kendall, and assistant principal bass Joseph Conyers, are joined by pianist Christopher Shih in a performance at the Lancaster Trust Performing Arts Center, 37 N. Market St., Lancaster. The program includes Schubert’s "Trout" Quintet.

First Associate Concertmaster Juliette Kang performs Beethoven's Violin Concerto with the Independence Sinfonia; Principal Bassoon Daniel Matukawa conducts. The remainder of the program will be Brahms's Second Symphony. The performance will be at Congregation Or Hadash, 190 Camp Hill Road, Fort Washington.

The Wister Quartet, whose members are former Philadelphia Orchestra Assistant Concertmaster Nancy Bean, former Orchestra Assistant Principal Cello Lloyd Smith, Orchestra substitute violist Pamela Faye, and Orchestra violinist Davyd Booth, will perform a concert at the Glencairn Museum, 1001 Cathedral Road, Bryn Athyn. The program will include music by Brahms, Finzi, Haydn, and Staneck.

Principal Flute Jeffrey Khaner and Principal Harp Elizabeth Hainen perform a FREE joint recital at Old Pine Street Presbyterian Church, 412 Pine St., Philadelphia. The program will include works by Saint-Saëns, Piazzolla, Ranjbaran, Alwyn, Liebermann, Bizet, Ravel, and Ibert.

Musicians from The Philadelphia Orchestra perform a concert at Mitchell Hall at the Mutter Museum, 19 S. 22nd St., Philadelphia. Violinists Yayoi Numazawa, Daniel Han, and Mei Ching Huang; violists David Nicastro and Meng Wang; cellist Ohad Bar-David; and percussionist Angela Zator Nelson perform works by Dohnányi and Mendelssohn, among others.

The Wister Quartet performs a concert with pianist Cynthia Raim at the Academy of Vocal Arts, 1920 Spruce St., Philadelphia. The program includes works by Haydn, Boccherini, and Schumann.

Ode to Ormandy, a concert to benefit the Old Pine Conservancy, will feature the Zora String Quartet (now in residence at the Curtis Institute) performing works by Mozart, Webern, and Mendelsohn. The master of ceremonies will be Kevin Gordon, radio host of WRTI-FM. Mr. & Mrs. Ormandy are buried in the Old Pine graveyard and May 15 was their anniversary.
