The Philadelphia Orchestra Volunteers, Board, and Musicians

invite you to join them at the celebration of the Orchestra's 118th season at the

Opening Night Concert and Gala 2017
Thursday, October 5, 2017
The Kimmel Center for Performing Arts

This year's unique concert program will celebrate the 100 birthday of famed composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein. Yannick and the Fabulous Philadelphians are planning a special program that features the Symphonic Dances from West Side Story and a suite from his only film score, On the Waterfront. Emanuel Ax will join Yannick at the keyboard for a rare four-hands performance together.

Also, the 2017 Philadelphia Orchestra Award will be presented to Robert and Joan Rechnitz in recognition of their remarkable philanthropy in support of the Orchestra.

Sponsorships are now available. To make sure you are on the invitation list, call the Volunteer Relations Office at 215.893.1956 or e-mail dbyrne@philorch.org.
